Medieval tunics and Albrecht

For hours he sat in his saddle, while he became one with the swaying movements of his steed, on his way to Mainz in year 1184.

The emperor had invited and Albrecht had not hesitated for long. He had chosen his blue medieval tunic as an expression of sincerity and loyalty, ready to testify and to live it. It was more that he could hope for as the second son of an ordinary but religiously craftsman from the Odenwald.

Now he is a landless but happy knight, because of his courage and his excellent riding skill. His upper garments was thoughtful chosen. It reached down to his knees hand kept his legs warm. Because of the slots on each side he could easily ride his steed, even on long journeys like this. Also the tunic gave him the respect combined with grace and elegance, which he demanded of his peers and he hoped for from the women.

The city was not in sight yet and glory und honor still not fought, but the heaven shined bright in the colors of his medieval tunic. He was one with the world.
